Revolve's return policy is one of the reasons people love shopping there — free returns, 60 days, and a generally painless process. Here's what the policy actually covers and where the limits are.
The standard policy
- 60 days from the purchase date for a full refund
- Free return shipping (prepaid label included with most US orders)
- Items must be unworn, unwashed, undamaged, and in original condition with tags attached
- No restocking fees for standard returns
Sixty days is generous, and free return shipping is a real differentiator — a lot of online retailers charge for returns now.
Final sale
Revolve marks items "Final Sale" — these cannot be returned. This is common on heavily discounted items and during major sale events. The final sale label is on the product page and in your order confirmation.
Outside of final sale items, Revolve's policy is genuinely permissive. Full-price and lightly discounted items fall under the standard 60-day free return window.
How to return
- Log into your Revolve account
- Go to Order History and select the order
- Select the items to return and your reason
- Print the prepaid return label
- Pack the item with the return slip included in the original order
- Drop off at any UPS location
Revolve processes refunds within 7–10 business days of receiving the return. They email you when it's processed.
Condition requirements
Revolve inspects returned items. The standards are:
- Tags must be attached (both Revolve swing tags and brand tags)
- No signs of wear — no deodorant marks, no odors, no makeup
- No washing — items should be in the state they were in when you received them
If you return something that doesn't meet these standards, Revolve may refuse the return and send the item back to you (they charge for this shipping) or issue partial credit. They're consistent about this.
International returns
International returns are not free — you're responsible for return shipping costs unless your order came with a prepaid international return label (some international markets have this). Customs fees and duties on the return are also your responsibility.
If you're shopping Revolve internationally, factor in return costs when deciding whether to buy.
Revolve Rewards
Returns affect your Revolve Rewards points — points earned on a purchase are reversed when you return it. If you're close to a tier threshold, this is worth knowing before you return something.
Exchanges
Revolve doesn't offer direct exchanges. If you need a different size or color, return the original item and place a new order. Given free returns and fast shipping, this usually works fine in practice.
Brand-specific items
Some brands sold through Revolve have their own stricter return policies that Revolve applies. These are typically noted on the product page. Rare, but worth checking for premium or designer labels.
The honest assessment
Revolve's return policy is excellent by online retail standards. Free returns and 60 days make it low-risk to try things. The only real watch-out is final sale — those items are genuinely non-returnable.
Revolve resale
Revolve carries a lot of brands that hold strong resale value — Lovers + Friends, For Love & Lemons, Alice + Olivia, and others regularly move well on the secondary market. If you bought something from Revolve that you're not going to wear, it may be worth more than you'd expect.
Cove tracks the resale value of fashion items so you can see what your Revolve purchases are actually worth — useful when you're deciding between returning, keeping, or selling something.
